Arnel Pineda On ‘Journey Wouldn’t Exist Without You’ Comments After Neal Schon Controversy

Arnel Pineda recently replied to two different fan tweets, showing his appreciation for all the support he has received from the Journey fans and community after his public feud with bandmate Neal Schon.

Journey’s name has been on the headlines lately, though not because of their current U.S. tour or upcoming projects. It’s not an exact secret that the band members often have personal disputes, and the act’s co-founder, Neal Schon, usually finds himself involved in most of the controversies.

The guitarist has feuded with various bandmates, from former frontman Steve Perry to keyboardist and ex-buddy Jonathan Cain. So, when Neal’s feud with Arnel became public through snidey comments on social platforms, this recent conflict probably didn’t surprise anyone, given Schon’s complicated history with personal disputes.

It is typical for rockers to get the usual ‘this band wouldn’t exist without you‘ sorts of messages. However, when you consider the most recent feud between Pineda and Schon, one cannot help but notice the frontman’s response to these tweets since Schon often notes how Journey wouldn’t have existed without him as he’s the co-founder.

A fan tweet stated:

“I have been a Journey fan since ‘Departure’ and saw Perry several times. Steve Perry’s legacy is tough to carry on. You do it every night! Your soulful energy and soaring vocals have taken these beautiful songs and kept them alive.”

Another fan message followed:

“You were awesome in Atlantic City. Haven’t seen Journey since 1981 with the Stones. I was reluctant to see Journey without Steve Perry. Without you, there would be no Journey. Hard to replace a lead singer with somebody hits, but you did it.”

Arnel’s response to all the tweets was brief as he showed his appreciation for the messages by simply sending them what we know as the praying hands or the thank you emoji and making it clear to Schon that, perhaps, he isn’t the only member that helped Journey’s legacy carry on.
