Fieldy, also known as Reggie Arvizu, took a step back from Korn to resolve personal matters and overcome bad habits. In a recent Facebook update, Fieldy gave some details about the bad habits in question, which led his Korn bandmates to ask him to take a break and sit out the 28-city US tour that wrapped last month.
Korn had announced an extensive 28-city US tour which would kick off on August 5 in West Palm Beach, Florida, and end on September 21 at Dallas’ Dos Equis Pavilion. However, the announcement also revealed that Fieldy would not be attending this tour to take time since he had to concentrate on recovering from his bad habits.
“When I made the statement about my ‘bad habits,’ they weren’t drugs,” stated Fieldy, further explaining the meaning of his previous statement. “When I’m done with all my responsibilities, I have a Bud Light, or as many as I want, to tell you the truth. I’m a grown man.”
He added, “To clarify the habits, I’ve never tried cocaine, I’ve never tried heroin. I drink Bud Light, man. It’s clear.” Since the announcement didn’t specify Fieldy’s bad habits, most people immediately assumed the worst. However, the musician clarified that he had never dabbled in drugs, but his struggles were mainly related to alcohol.
The musician didn’t forget to mention that he and his Korn bandmates are brothers till the end, and there was no bad blood. He also assured his fans that he has been doing well and is happy with his current life. His current focus seems to be on his side project Stillwell as they recently released ‘Rock the House,’ paying tribute to the classic promo for Beastie Boys hit ‘So What’Cha Want.’
