System Of A Down and Seven Hours After Violet’s Shavo Odadjian recently talked about one of his most embarrassing moments on stage with Kerrang!.

He recalled the incident at the KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas event, “I’m full of those! One time we were doing the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas and I’d drank a lot. My family was there and I noticed my grandpa. As I was saying ‘Hello, gramps!’ I walked offstage – as in, I ate it! I walked like there was a floor, but there was no floor. I fell a good five or six feet with my guitar! That felt pretty stupid.”

Odadjian also talked about some of the strangest shows he has ever played. He recalled a festival in Spain where a storm hit and blew the roof off the second stage. Despite the chaos, the band performed at 5 a.m. as the sun was rising. “It was crazy! Nobody was hurt, thank god,” he added.

In 2024, Odadjian formed a new band called Seven Hours After Violet. The band features Odadjian on bass, guitarist Michael Montoya (also known as Morgoth Beatz), drummer Josh Johnson from Winds of Plague, guitarist-vocalist Alejandro Aranda, and lead vocalist Taylor Barber.

They made their live debut on October 7, 2024, for SiriusXM and played their first festival at the Mayhem Festival in San Bernardino, California. Their self-titled album was released on October 11, 2024.

Seven Hours After Violet has several shows lined up for 2025. They will open for Tool on March 12, 15, and 18 in Mexico. They will also play at Welcome to Rockville on May 18 and Rock Im Park on June 6.

Meanwhile, System Of A Down also has a busy schedule in 2025. They will play in Colombia on April 24 and continue their Latin American tour, finishing in Brazil on May 14. After that, they will start their North American dates in the US and Canada.
