Scott Anderson of Finger Eleven discussed his perspective on acoustic performances in a recent interview with We Go To 11.

“I think so,” he replied when asked whether fans are more open to acoustic music now, after MTV Unplugged made it less popular. “I mean I don’t know if I can always read an audience properly every time. But I think what’s nice is maybe if somebody’s waiting for the heavier stuff, at least we’re like we’re not going to waste your time. It’s not all acoustic all the way through.”

“But just because it’s acoustic, it doesn’t mean it’s boring or unenergetic,” he continued. “We try to be mindful of that as well. Like, ‘All right, listen we’re here you’re here and we don’t want to waste your time and we’re going to give you a show either way.’ It’s just simply going to be at a you know slightly different volume level. So, we’re not here to put anybody asleep. I hope that people are enjoying it.”

The band’s recent activities demonstrate Anderson’s commitment to energetic acoustic performances. Tour footage reveals Finger Eleven successfully incorporating acoustic versions of their hits into sold-out shows during their upcoming album promotion.

Their emotional delivery has made these acoustic renditions particularly impactful. Music Insider Magazine highlighted their acoustic version of ‘One Thing’ as a performance centerpiece. The song creates powerful emotional connections with audiences.

The group showcased their acoustic expertise during a special performance at 98KUPD Studios. Studio footage captured their intimate version of ‘Together Right.’ This performance showcases their ability to maintain signature energy in a stripped-down format.

Anderson prefers creating genuine connections through live performances over social media presence. These intimate settings have become crucial to the band’s audience connection strategy.
