Pamela Anderson Admits Avoiding The Tommy Lee Scandal To Survive

We all heard the story of the famous sex tape from Tommy Lee’s perspective. Now it’s Pamela Anderson’s turn. Getting ready to let fans walk in her shoes with her upcoming Netflix documentary, Anderson revealed that she’s determined to change how Tommy Lee portrayed the incident.

“I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive,” said Pamela Anderson at the beginning of the documentary’s trailer. “Now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick.” She then expressed her enthusiasm to overtake the course of the story, saying, “I wanna take control of the narrative for the first time.”

Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson’s leaked sex tape is probably one of the most speculated celebrity leaks online. Although seeing your private moments on the internet is something quite disturbing for many, Lee decided to turn the story into a series. Before the release of ‘Pam & Tommy,’ he even declared war against Kardashians as ‘they broke the internet first.’

It wasn’t surprising that Lee’s attitude caused him to receive backlash. While Sebastian Stan hoped the series would change prejudices about ex-lovers, John Corabi pointed out that so many mistakes made ‘Pam & Tommy’ unwatchable. On the other hand, Courtney Love harshly criticized the series and noted that the incident had ruined Pamela’s life.

Although the series turned out to be a success, it caused never-ending negative responses. Tommy Lee stated that he closed his ears to the overwhelming criticisms as he was on a path toward healing. Pamela Anderson wasn’t pleased with ‘Pam & Tommy’ either — she simply avoided anything related to the series.

However, she now believes it’s her turn to tell the narrative from her point of view. According to the new trailer of Netflix’s ‘Pamela, A Love Story,’ she feels sick that the sex tape returned to haunt her. Still, she seems eager to tell her own story with the new documentary. ‘Pamela, A Love Story’ is set to premiere on Netflix on January 31.
