If you know any details about the longtime feud between Journey’s Neal Schon and Steve Perry, this article might surprise you as it featured the one thing they both agree on, which Schon recently shared on Twitter. Still, if you don’t know anything about the pair’s dispute, well, you’re in luck because we’re here to tell you all about it.

So, from accusing Steve of aiming to profit off of Journey’s work to saying the frontman could never rejoin them for a future tour, it’s no secret that Schon and Perry don’t get along. However, with two newer lawsuits being filed against Jonathan Cain, it’s safe to say that other than recording hit tracks and composing some nice guitar riffs, Schon also likes filing lawsuits against his fellow bandmates.

Recently, when some fans stressed that the feud between Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain was pointless, Schon accused the keyboardist of being a liar, as Jon claimed that Neal had been losing in court. Then shared a video of Cain to criticize his rendition of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ during the White House’s Mount Rushmore event in 2020 for then-president Donald Trump,

“Now he’s claiming I keep losing in court?” exclaimed Schon as he addressed Jon’s claims against him. “In-f*cking-sane. Get off the Kool-Aid. Wow, lies after lies. I’ve won one case in court with Cain, and the residing one has not been heard yet. [I] was trying to get in sooner than the court date.”

He then shared a YouTube video where Cain, who performed at Trump’s event, discussed how Journey’s music should stay away from politics. Schon wrote, “Have a listen right around 9:25 mins. Jonathan Cain himself talking about politics and religion not a good idea with our music. One word, hypocrite, just have a list.”

Following that, the guitarist posted a screenshot of some old news in which Perry had stated that ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ shouldn’t be involved with politics right after Jonathan had sung it. So, Neal decided he agreed with Steve’s take on the matter. As the rocker pointed out to the news, he said, “Well, Steve and I agree on this.”

So, even though Neal Schon doesn’t like Steve Perry much, when it came to criticizing Jonathan Cain, he decided to be on Perry’s side and share his dislike of Journey’s music being used in politics. With these lawsuits, one might only wonder how Journey’s future career and touring will work out.
