Hot on the heels of their headline performance at the Power Trip Festival in Indio, California, AC/DC unveiled yet another surprise for the fans.

According to Ballantine’s announcement, the band is launching a limited edition whiskey in collaboration with their Scotch whiskey. Marking their 50th anniversary year, AC/DC’s new whiskey release has unique bottles sporting their thunderbolt logo in a striking neon red.

In the announcement, Chivas Brothers’ Global Marketing Director for Ballantine’s, Mathieu Deslandes, highlighted the synergy between Ballantine’s history in music and AC/DC’s five-decade journey in rock. As reported by NME, Deslandes mentioned:

“Ballantine’s has a storied history within music via our True Music platform, and through this collection, the finest rockstars meet the Finest whisky. We can’t wait to put the B into AC/DC with this collectible design and see it rocking shelves around the world. Ballantine’s has always been behind those who do things their own way – and AC/DC personify this attitude with their unique and highly renowned music style that has remained the steadfast essence of the band for 50 years.”

However, fans hoping to snag a bottle should act quickly, as it’s available in limited quantities.

But that’s not all the excitement brewing for AC/DC fans. Coinciding with their performance at the Power Trip Festival, AC/DC also opened a pop-up dive bar located 10 minutes away from the festival grounds at 82971 Bliss Ave in Indio. It’s operating from October 5-8, between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. In addition to the AC/DC-specific features, visitors at the dive bar can look forward to a beer garden, a tattoo lounge, and local food trucks.

AC/DC’s return to the live stage at the Power Trip Festival was notable, not just for the band’s seven-year hiatus but also for the rockers gracing the event, including Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and Iron Maiden.

As fans may recall, the band’s hiatus was in part due to lead singer Brian Johnson’s struggles with hearing loss, which necessitated a temporary departure from the band. Recent reports indicate that Johnson has made strides in his recovery and was more than ready for the festival performance.
