Avril Lavigne Shares Behind The Scenes Video Of Her 22 Million Viewed TikTok With Tony Hawk
Recently on her Twitter, rock star Avril Lavigne has posted a behind-the-scenes video of the TikTok debut she made with the real-life ‘Sk8r Boi’ Tony Hawk, which was watched over 22 million times.
The music she used in the video was her successful hit ‘Sk8r Boi’ which was released as the second single from her 2002’s album ‘Let Go.’ The song was also her second hit which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart, after her well-known single ‘Complicated.’ The song has also received a Grammy Nomination in 2003 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and sold over 1.8 million copies around the world.
As you may know, most musicians maintain an official appearance on TikTok nowadays. Avril Lavigne has also become one of them, joining TikTok not long ago. Lavigne has shared her first TikTok video for Monday’s Go Skateboarding day, teaming up with the skateboarder Tony Hawk. She also appeared to be recreating her look from the music clip of ‘Sk8r Boi,’ wearing black shorts, a black sleeveless t-shirt, and a striped tie. The TikTok video has made her reach out to over 1.6 million followers and 22.9 million views shortly after its release, making the rock star rise to fame on TikTok as well.
In her recent tweet, Lavigne has shared a behind-the-scenes video with Tony Hawk. In the video, Hawk helps Lavigne to remember her skateboarding skills and shows her some tricks along with that. In the tweet, she also thanked her fans for the views and follower count, describing her success on TikTok in just three days as ‘insane.’ Lavigne thanked Tony Hawk as well in the following tweet, recalling the times she was skateboarding when she was a teenager and considering this project as the highlight of her summer.
Lavigne’s first tweet read:
“Omg, I did 22.9 million views and 1.6 million followers in 3 days with my very first TikTok!!! This is insane thank you guys so much!! Check out this video of Tony Hawk helping me brush up on my skills (since it’s been a hot minute) and teaching me to drop in on the mini pipe.”
And her following tweet was:
“Thank you, Tony Hawk! We all look up to you. I used to skateboard a lot when I was a teenager and I’ve just recently picked the board back up. This was the highlight of my summer.”
