Avril Lavigne Recreates ‘Sk8er Boi’ Video With Tony Hawk In Her TikTok Debut

Avril Lavigne posted a tweet on her Twitter account to share her first TikTok video following her announcement about openning a TikTok account. In the video, Lavigne and skateboarder Tony Hawk shot a new version of her iconic ‘Sk8er Boi’ music video.

As you may know, Lavigne released her debut studio album entitled ‘Let Go’ on June 4, 2002. The album included many hit singles such as ‘Complicated,’ ‘Sk8er Boi,’ ‘I’m with You’ and ‘Tomorrow.’ Both the song and the music video of ‘Sk8er Boi’ became one of the most popular songs of the era.

Previously, Avril Lavigne revealed that she became a TikTok user along with many other rock and metal legends such as Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, and Nikki Sixx, Tool’s Maynard James Keenan, Queen’s Brian May, and more. Lavigne currently has more than 700K followers on TikTok and shared her first video which is a recreation of ‘Sk8er Boi.’

Recently on Twitter, Avril announced that she finally posted her first TikTok video. Apparently, Lavigne thought it would be the best to use one of her biggest hits, ‘Sk8er Boi,’ for her TikTok debut. She teamed up with skateboarder Tony Hawk and recreated the music video of the song. The new version of ‘Sk8er Boi’ received 2.5 million likes shortly after its release. In the comment section of the video, her fans pointed out to the fact that Avril looked like she hasn’t aged at all since the release of ‘Sk8er Boi’ music video in 2002.
