In a recent post on Instagram, Tommy Lee called out rockers for album posts during wildfires.

“Makes me f*cking sick to see most people just caring on a posting on lame a** social media!” the Mötley Crüe drummer wrote. “Guys right now nobody gives a flying f*ck when your record drops or the next concert is when so many people are in the middle of one of the biggest disasters of all time!”

He added, “I get that some comic relief is always need but Jesus Christ leave it all alone and maybe just stop and see who needs help if you can.”

The fires have killed at least 24 people and burned 40,000 acres, destroying over 12,300 buildings, via NBC News. The biggest fire, the Palisades Fire, has burned more than 23,000 acres and is only 14% contained. It is threatening areas like Brentwood, Encino, and Westwood.

Evacuations are in place for 92,000 people, and 89,000 others are on alert to evacuate if needed. Los Angeles County has declared a public health emergency due to smoke and particles in the air.

David Draiman of Disturbed recently criticized social media users cheering for the wildfires in Los Angeles on Instagram. The frontman wrote, “There are people on this platform cheering on the destruction caused by the Los Angeles Fires. Delighting in the misery and misfortune of others. Nothing justifies this. No reason. No cause. NOTHING. Absolute scum. The lot of you.”

On the other hand, Joe Bonamassa criticized Meghan Markle on X for her fake help to wildfire victims. He shared a Variety article titled ‘Meghan Markle delays Netflix show ‘With Love, Meghan’ due to L.A. wildfires’ and wrote, “How brave! You know thousands of people are ‘pushing back’ their breakfast tomorrow morning because they don’t have kitchens to prepare it nor homes to wake up in.”

After a fan said, “Don’t be a d*ck, Joe. All of us JB fans were praying for you & your guitars & equipment collection during the fires,” Bonamassa responded, “I am being nice. There are a lot of very angry citizens in Los Angeles right now. The ‘royals’ don’t mean anything when you are face to face with losing it all.”

Several rockers, including Lee, Bonamassa, Brad Wilk of RATM, and Scott Ian of Anthrax, had to evacuate their homes because of the spreading fires.
