The Who’s Roger Daltrey Reveals His Wish About Oasis

It’s been 13 years since the Gallagher brothers decided to disband Oasis. Currently, both pursue their own solo careers and don’t really think about reuniting again. As it turns out, The Who’s Roger Daltrey is among many of those who still wait for news from the band. Speaking with Yungblud for a Rolling Stone article, Daltrey revealed what he wishes for Oasis.

“He’s just got an edge,” said Roger Daltrey about Liam Gallagher, referring to the secure position he has built in the music scene. “I wish Oasis would get back together. Liam, though, has really carved out a niche for himself now, and I love him. I think he’s fabulous. He’s totally honest. He’s not frightened of saying how he feels.”

Very similar to you,” Roger Daltrey told Yungblud, resembling the 25-year-old British pop-rock icon to Liam Gallagher. “You remind me of him a bit. He’s from the other side, though! I’ve got a Yorkshire daughter from Huddersfield.”

Oasis left the music scene due to the disagreements and tension between the Gallagher brothers. However, Liam Gallagher finds it very natural to be asked about an Oasis reunion. Although Liam sometimes gives it the green light, Noel believes a reunion is not necessary at this point. Apparently, it would make Roger Daltrey pretty happy to see Oasis back together.
