Taylor Momsen recently addressed speculation about a potential touring partnership with Soundgarden. In an interview shared on the Zach Sang Show, The Pretty Reckless singer responded to questions about whether she would consider joining the legendary rock band on tour. Her comments came following her performance with the band during their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

When asked directly if she would ever consider touring with Soundgarden after reposting tour announcements, Momsen expressed her deep admiration and loyalty to the band members.

“I think that they are a force unto themselves that is unlike anyone else,” Momsen said. “They are some of my like closest friends. I love them to death. And the reality is I’m here for anything they want or need. Like if they call me, I’m there. It’s that simple.”

Her response underscores the strong personal and professional relationships she has built with Soundgarden. It also leaves the door open for future collaborations should the opportunity arise.

Momsen’s comments come on the heels of a memorable performance at one of rock music’s most prestigious events. Consequence reported that Soundgarden was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. The induction class also included Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, and the White Stripes. The induction ceremony took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on November 8, 2025, and was broadcast live on Disney+.

The surviving members of Soundgarden—drummer Matt Cameron, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and original bassist Hiro Yamamoto—were joined by several special guests for the induction performance. Louder Sound documented that Taylor Momsen performed alongside the band on two iconic Soundgarden tracks. She delivered lead vocals on “Rusty Cage” with Mike McCready of Pearl Jam on guitar. On “Black Hole Sun,” she joined Brandi Carlile, Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, and the band members for a classic rendition.

The selection of collaborators was intentional and meaningful. Matt Cameron revealed to the Seattle Times that the band wanted to keep the performance “as Seattle-centric as possible and include some people that were there with us in the beginning.” This approach honored Soundgarden’s legacy while celebrating the connections the band has maintained with fellow musicians throughout their career.

The induction ceremony also featured a poignant tribute to the late Chris Cornell, the band’s original lead singer. Louder Sound noted that Chris Cornell’s daughter, Toni Cornell, performed “Fell on Black Days” accompanied by Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson. This ensured that the band’s late frontman remained a central part of the celebration.

Momsen’s involvement was a special one-time performance for the induction ceremony rather than the beginning of an ongoing tour collaboration. Her enthusiastic response in the recent interview suggests, however, that she remains open to future opportunities with the band should they arise.
