Slayer Is Officially Back: Two Live Shows Announced

1 Min Read

Slayer is returning to the stage to perform live again after five years.

Last week, a hint about the band’s comeback was dropped by the band’s mastermind, Kerry King. Naturally, many of us were excited about this, but I guess no one expected it to become reality so soon.

Today, it was confirmed through an announcement on the band’s Facebook page that Slayer will be returning to the stage this year. The band will return to the stage at Riot Fest, taking place from September 20 to 24, 2024. Following that, they will perform at the Louder Than Life festival on September 27.

Statements From Band Members

In addition to the dates, the group also released a press statement. In this press release, Tom Araya said:

“Nothing compares to the 90 minutes when we’re on stage playing live, sharing that intense energy with our fans and to be honest, we have missed that.”

Furthermore, King added:

“Have I missed playing live? Absolutely. Slayer means a lot to our fans; they mean a lot to us. It will be five years since we have seen them.”
