Ozzfest is officially returning in 2027, with the festival set to take place at Villa Park in Birmingham.
The event will mark the first Ozzfest since 2018 and will return to the same venue where Ozzy Osbourne performed his final concert last year.
Organizers confirmed the news with a short statement, saying:
“More info on everything coming soon.”
The return had already been discussed by Sharon Osbourne in recent months.

Speaking to Metal Hammer, Sharon said the new edition could run for one or two days depending on interest.
She also revealed that discussions with potential performers and headliners were already underway.
Earlier this year, Sharon said the new version of Ozzfest would not be limited strictly to the same rock and metal formula the festival became known for.
Instead, she said one of the main goals would be giving younger artists a major platform.
“It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people,” Sharon said.
She continued:
“We really started metal festivals in this country. It was replicated but never done with the spirit of what ours was, because ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids.”
Ozzfest was originally launched by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne in 1996 after Ozzy was not given a place on the Lollapalooza lineup.
The first edition featured Ozzy alongside Slayer, Danzig, Biohazard and Sepultura.
Over the following years, the festival became an important early platform for bands including Slipknot, Limp Bizkit and System Of A Down.
Ozzfest later expanded outside the United States, with editions held in countries including the UK, Germany, Belgium and Japan.
Its last event took place in California in 2018.
Sharon later explained that rising costs and demands from managers and agents played a major role in the festival being discontinued.
“It was a very weird beast,” she said. “All the bands were our mates, but the managers were greedy.”
She added:
“We made a profit. But it was not like we could retire on it. Managers and agents wanted more and more and more, and it just wasn’t cost-effective anymore.”
The decision to bring Ozzfest back now gives the festival a different meaning.
Villa Park hosted Back To The Beginning last year, where Ozzy performed with his solo band and reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates.
The bill also included Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Gojira, Anthrax and Mastodon.
Ozzy died 17 days after the concert at the age of 76. For now, no lineup or exact date has been announced for Ozzfest 2027.
What is confirmed is that the festival will return to Birmingham and to the same stadium where Ozzy gave his final performance, bringing Ozzfest back after a nine-year absence.
