Thousands of tickets for the upcoming Oasis reunion shows have been canceled as Ticketmaster cracks down on bots.

Ticketmaster says this is to ensure tickets bought by bots are resold to real fans. However, many people whose tickets were canceled insist they bought through official channels and are upset they won’t get to see Oasis.

When tickets went on sale, there was chaos with long lines, website crashes, and system errors. Now, fans who thought they got tickets are shocked after receiving messages from Ticketmaster saying their tickets were refunded because bots were involved in their purchase.

“If 2025 could actually get any worse – now I don’t even have this to look forward to any more,” a fan wrote on X about the issue. “Denying legit fans their tickets??” Another shared, “So what’s this complete shitshow? Sat on my laptop for hours on general sale day to secure just TWO tickets for ONE gig and you’re telling me I’m a bot and a tout!”

The Oasis ticket sale caused issues due to the use of ‘dynamic pricing,’ where ticket prices increased suddenly because of high demand.

This frustrated many fans, and experts say it might break consumer laws. The European Commission and the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority are currently investigating.

Oasis stated they didn’t know dynamic pricing would be used. They explained that meetings between the band’s management, promoters, and Ticketmaster were supposed to create a fair ticket sale system, but it didn’t work as planned. The band later dropped dynamic pricing for the American leg of their reunion tour.

The tour starts on July 4 in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium and will also visit Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium, and Dublin’s Croke Park. The band will also perform in Canada, the US, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
