Reactions To The Update

The news of a new sound received mixed reactions from fans. Most were skeptical about the truth behind Sixx’s announcement. One person wrote:

“April Fools was the other day, Mr. Sixx!”

Others criticized the shift in tone with comments like:

“Wish it went back to sounding like the Crüe.”

But some fans still shared excitement about Mötley Crüe’s first studio record since 2008’s ‘Saints Of Los Angeles.’ A comment read:

“You’ve never made a bad album. The new album will be interesting, even if, as a surprise, it involves rapping in Japanese or yodeling in Bavarian.”

The Band’s Current Plans

John 5 revealed that the band finished recording their new tracks late in 2023. He mentioned an original titled ‘Dogs Of War’ and said the band also covered the Beastie Boys’ ‘(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!).’

There isn’t a confirmed release date for the album yet. But Mötley Crüe is gearing up for a series of concerts starting on May 3 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They are also slated to perform at Welcome to Rockville and Summerfest in 2024.
