Dee Snider Reacts To Cate Blanchett Questioning Margot Robbie’s Love For Metal

Behind her pure beauty, Margot Robbie hides an avid metalhead and goth girl. During her recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show, the actress admitted she has genuinely liked heavy metal since she was a teen. However, Cate Blanchett’s intrusive and condescending questions received criticism from metal fans. Apparently, Dee Snider also agrees with them.

Margot and Cate were Graham Norton’s guests during a recent episode of the show. When Norton asked whether she was a goth in her teens, Robbie replied, “I don’t know if I was a full goth. Very emo, though, and I listened to only heavy metal music. I would dye my hair black and only cut it with a razor blade… So yeah, kinda goth.”

Cate Blanchett then intervened, asking, “Does anyone like heavy metal music?! Was that something you genuinely liked?” Robbie responded to defend her music tastes by saying, “I still genuinely like it.” Still, Blanchett went on with her offensive questions. “Do you like monster trucks and things like that?” the actress asked.

“No,” Margot Robbie responded. She then added, “I really like heavy metal music. I remember going to a Slipknot concert when I was on ‘Neighbours.’ I’ve never had more people come up to me, ever than at a Slipknot concert. It was so unexpected. And they worried about all the characters. They were so invested in ‘Neighbours’ and Slipknot.”

Upon hearing the news on Twitter, Dee Snider realized he had to say something about this. “I love Cate Blanchett as an actress,” he tweeted, “but clearly, she is a f*cking idiot.” Following these harsh remarks, Snider couldn’t hold himself and posted another tweet, saying, “Stick to a script, Cate!

Robbie has never hesitated to admit she is a metal music fan. According to the beautiful actress, there was an undeniable bond between the TV series ‘Neighbours’ and Slipknot, which she noticed at a Slipknot concert. Besides, her inspiration behind the Harley Quinn look was Blondie’s Debbie Harry, the punk-rock icon.

Blanchett’s questions were annoying for many metalheads, causing her to receive a massive backlash from the fans of the genre. Apparently, her remarks pissed Dee Snider off as well. Whether they were jokes or not, it seems like the metal community found Cate’s questions insulting and meaningless.
