Margot Robbie Explains Her Special Connection With Slipknot Fans

There are some unique crossovers in the entertainment industry, to be sure. Another one to add to the list is the link between the TV series ‘Neighbours’ and Slipknot. During a recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show, Margot Robbie recalled a Slipknot concert that she went to and how it was almost like a union with the fans of the soap opera. It was unexpected for the actress but Robbie being at the concert was not, as she is a genuine fan of the metal genre.

“I genuinely did, and still do genuinely like it,” said Robbie about her love for metal music. “I remember going to this Slipknot concert, and I was on ‘Neighbours’ at the time, and it was the most I’d ever been recognized. I have never had more people come up to me than at a Slipknot concert.”

She continued, “The crossover between; it wasn’t monster trucks and Slipknot; it was ‘Neighbours’ and Slipknot. For some reason, everyone kept coming up, and it was so unexpected. They were worried about all the characters if so-and-so’s baby was ok. They were so invested in Neighboursand Slipknot, so I don’t know; I genuinely like that type of music.”

For anyone keeping up with the ‘Babylon’ actress, she spoke about her interest and knowledge of the genre in interviews before. So it was no surprise that Robbie was at a Slipknot concert or interested in their music. Slipknot fans also were aware of her work in ‘Neighbours’ and cared enough to approach her and discuss the characters’ storylines. It was indeed an unforgettable night for the star.
