Behemoth frontman Nergal has addressed recent protests against the band’s upcoming concert in a statement on his Instagram.

“Catholics are protesting against the Behemoth concert in Wrocław, [saying], ‘We will not allow the Centennial Hall to become a nest of evil,'” Nergal reported. “You, of all people, don’t have a f*cking say here.”

“PS. Btw, the show is about to sell out shortly, so if you wanna be a part of this party, get your ticket now,” he added.

The controversy centers on Behemoth’s scheduled performance at Wrocław’s Centennial Hall. Local religious groups have voiced strong opposition to the event.

This latest clash between Behemoth and religious protesters extends a long history of similar confrontations.

Metal News revealed that local religious organizations have intensified their opposition. They claim the concert promotes ‘satanism’ and shows hostility toward Christianity.

Blabbermouth reported the show’s inclusion in a larger European tour called ‘The Unholy Trinity.’ The tour features Behemoth alongside Satyricon and Rotting Christ. This lineup has heightened concerns among religious communities.

Metal Storm documented Nergal’s previous encounters with similar opposition. A notable incident occurred when he faced legal challenges for tearing up a Bible during a performance in Gdynia. The act triggered significant backlash from religious groups and resulted in an extended legal battle.

Ticket sales for the Wrocław show demonstrate strong fan support. The venue is approaching full capacity despite the ongoing protests.
