L.A. Guns rocker Tracii Guns has claimed that Mötley Crüe manipulated their ticket prices.

The rocker took to X to respond to a user who claimed L.A. Guns never came near Mötley Crüe’s success.

“Yes we’ve successfully delivered incredible music for our fans from day 1 and continue to without manipulating the business to do soft ticket summer tours to falsely increase the perception of LA Guns,” the rocker revealed of Mötley Crüe. “2. Nikki chose me to be the guitarist for his second band. Spine intact.”

Fans were shocked at the ticket prices for the Mötley Crüe shows back in 2020. Mötley Crüe announced they would be touring again, four years after their breakup. However, fans’ excitement turned into disappointment after seeing the ticket prices. Reports found that the cheapest seat on the tour was $75 with additional fees that add about 36% to the ticket price. In some locations, the cheapest seat did cost over $100, and the Wrigley Field cost a minimum price of $226.

Although Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and L.A. Guns guitarist Tracii Guns go way back, another band member said he never liked the Mötley Crüe. “They really are a f*cking atrocious band; they always have been,” Phil Lewis said during an interview with Rock Interview Series. “And the only good player, the only good one in the band, has been very unceremoniously dismissed.”

Mötley Crüe is currently on tour. The band’s will play at Minnesota State Fair on August 29. Their tour is wrapping up on August 31 at Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT.
