Mark Enyeart had been writing lyrics since the early 1990s, but many of those ideas never became finished songs.
Now, at 50, the singer and songwriter behind Mark’s Music has turned that backlog into a completed album with the help of RockAgent.
His new record, Starting Out, reflects both where he is now and how long the material has been waiting to be completed.
“The album Starting Out* was named that because I’ve written lyrics since the early 1990s and I am just starting out learning to play the guitar,” Enyeart said. “I’ve been singing for 20 years.”
Before using RockAgent, Enyeart says he already had a large collection of unfinished material.
“Before I found RockAgent, I had all my lyrics of unfinished music,” he said. “Once I started using RockAgent, my music just started coming together.”
Enyeart uses the platform in different ways depending on the song. Sometimes he gives detailed instructions about the sound he wants, while other times he lets RockAgent interpret the lyrics more freely.
“I go back and forth using detailed descriptions and letting RockAgent run freely with my lyrics,” he said.
Hearing those ideas turned into complete tracks gave him a sense of progress he had been waiting years to experience.
“The first time I heard one of these tracks produced fully, I really loved how it turned out and it gave me a big sense of accomplishment.”

The album also reflects different parts of Enyeart’s life and outlook.
One of its key tracks, “Forgotten Peacekeeper,” focuses on a man trying to reduce conflict around him.
“*Forgotten Peacekeeper is about a man trying to keep the peace in every situation because there’s enough violence in the world,” he said. “It just felt like a good song to lead with.”
Another track, “Flow Like The River,” is built around the idea of adapting to life rather than fighting every change.
“With all life’s challenges, the ups and downs, you just keep calm and flow like water,” Enyeart explained. “Adjust to your surroundings.”
Family also appears in the record through “Now Its Our Time,” a song about parents reaching a new stage of life after their children grow up and leave home.
For Enyeart, RockAgent has become less about starting a music career from nothing and more about finally completing work that had been waiting for years.
He also sees AI-assisted music as a tool rather than something that removes the personal side of songwriting.
“If your heart and emotions are put into the music you create, then that makes the music personal and makes it completely yours.”
That perspective is especially important in his case because many of the lyrics were written long before AI music tools existed.
The technology gave him a way to turn those older ideas into finished songs and releases.
“I’m very happy that my album Starting Out* is finally out, Enyeart said. “It’s just the beginning of my musical journey.”
He now plans to continue working through the hundreds of songs he says he has written over the years.
“I’m going to keep building on this and keep creating all the music I’ve written throughout my life so far.”
For others sitting on unfinished lyrics, Enyeart says the main lesson from his experience is simple.
“For anyone who may be sitting on unfinished songs and you don’t play an instrument yet, definitely use RockAgent to create or finish them,” he said. “You won’t be disappointed.”
