Bret Michaels addressed fans following a health emergency that occurred during his recent performance at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Pittsburgh. He shared details about the incident on his Instagram account.
The Poison frontman explained what happened during the show and thanked fans for their support throughout the performance.
“Thank you to all my family, friends and fans in the Pittsburgh area and to all at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows,” Michaels said. “What an amazing night – even added the extra song of ‘Fallen Angel’ and got to enjoy hometown musicians on stage.”
He then revealed the medical issue that affected his performance near the end of the show.
“Sometimes my diabetes just kicks my butt, my apologies as near the end of the show I had a critical low blood sugar but I gave it everything I had left in the tank, and I powered through to the end,” he continued. “Will explain tomorrow, thank you for being awesome.”
This latest health incident adds to a long history of medical challenges that Michaels has faced throughout his career. Many of these challenges stem from his lifelong battle with diabetes and other serious conditions.
