Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke has made his first public comment regarding the band’s recent bassist change. He responded to a fan’s praise about the addition of new member Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz in a post shared on Instagram.
The band quietly parted ways with bassist Tyler Burgess. They brought in Bad Wolves vocalist Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz as their new bassist. Radke’s response came after a fan commented positively about the lineup change.
When a fan wrote, ‘Adding DL was the best thing Ronnie ever did,’ Radke offered insight into the circumstances behind the decision.
‘It was the best thing someone else did which forced me to do this,’ Radke responded. ‘Sometimes people’s actions are a blessing in disguise.’
The comment suggests that external factors or actions by others influenced the bassist replacement. This marks Radke’s first public statement about Tyler Burgess’s departure from the band.
The bassist change comes amid signs of tension that had been building within the band’s lineup. Metal Addicts reported that Burgess had unfollowed both Falling in Reverse and Radke on social media about a month before the change. This fueled speculation about his exit and a potential falling out with the frontman.
Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz brings significant experience to his new role. He served as the frontman of Bad Wolves before joining Falling in Reverse as bassist. Metal Addicts noted that Laskiewicz made his live debut with the band at Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals.
‘Most intense show I’ve ever played,’ Laskiewicz said about his debut performance with Falling in Reverse. He expressed his gratitude for joining the band.
The lineup change represents another chapter in Falling in Reverse’s history of member transitions. Wikipedia documented that the band has experienced several bassist changes since its formation. Radke has remained as the consistent frontman throughout various lineup shifts.
The addition of Laskiewicz appears to have been well-received by fans. This is evidenced by the positive response that prompted Radke’s revealing comment about the circumstances behind the change.
