“Lord, I loved and miss that guy. Such an incredible force in this world.”

With curiosity, a follower asked the vocalist whether the late bassist had ever mocked him for staying away from alcohol. In response, he recounted their first encounter and shed light on the dynamics of their friendship when it came to drugs and alcohol.

The tweets prompted another user to ask about his relationship with Frank Zappa, wondering if the guitarist’s disinterest in drugs affected their bond. Snider confirmed Zappa’s approach to substance usage but also shared a list of names that were included in their circle of ‘teetotalers.’

He first wrote:

“One of the first times Lemmy & I met, he pulled me into a side room & layed out 2 lines of coke. When I said, ‘I don’t get high.’ Lemmy looked at me for a second, then said, ‘More for me!’ and did both lines. And that was our relationship. He drank & drugged for both of us!”

Then, continued by saying:

“Zappa, Gene Simmons, Angus Young, Ted Nugent, and me. All teetotalers!”
