In his recent tweet, Disturbed frontman David Draiman expressed his wish for Taylor Swift to join forces with the band yet again.
Draiman took to Twitter to extend another invitation to Swift, suggesting a collaboration that would see the pop star taking on Ann Wilson’s part in a performance of ‘Don’t Tell Me.’ The tweet also humorously roped in Travis Kelce:
“Well, Taylor Swift? Shall we rock together? Travis Kelce, you can sing ‘Down With The Sickness’ with us, and Taylor Swift can sing Ann Wilson‘s part on ‘Don’t Tell Me’? Who’d like to see this happen? I know we would.”
Alongside this offer, Draiman shared a video clip from a live show where he expressed admiration for Swift’s achievements and openly invited her to perform with Disturbed. In the video, he told the crowd:
“Taylor Swift still kicks ass. I’m very happy for Taylor and her boy and all her success, and you know what? F*ck it. I might as well put it out there: Taylor, if you ever wanna come to sing ‘Don’t Tell Me’ with us live, you’re more than welcome. It would be an honor to have you on this stage. I think you would make Ann Wilson proud. And I don’t care what the f*ck anybody else says about it, you understand?'”

Draiman Defends Swift From Disturbed Fans

This is not the first time Draiman has publicly praised Swift. He has consistently lauded her songwriting skills, live performances, and the authenticity of her music. In a previous incident during a Disturbed concert in Peoria, Illinois, Draiman addressed the audience’s mixed reaction to his praise for Swift.
He defended the pop artist’s talent and her approach to live performances, arguing for respect across musical genres:
“So I take it that you came to the Disturbed concert, as opposed to the Taylor Swift concert, means that your parents are raising you on rock and roll. Hey, don’t forget: Taylor Swift still kicks a**. You know what? I will stand up and applaud any pop artist who gets up on stage and sings live and plays a guitar live in front of a whole group of thousands of girls and guys, young fans. Shut the f*ck up. Taylor Swift kicks f*cking a**.”
Draiman’s defense of Swift extends beyond the stage. In various interviews and social media posts, he has expressed his respect for Swift’s artistry, songwriting prowess, and performance skills. As Disturbed continues their tour until March 2, 2024, whether or not Swift will take up Draiman’s offer to ‘rock together’ remains to be seen.
