David Draiman Reveals His ‘Dream’ About Taylor Swift

Disturbed frontman David Draiman recently had an interview where he mentioned the artist he would like to collaborate. He mentioned Taylor Swift on his list, and said he would love to cover a song of hers in the future. Regarding Taylor, David said:

“I think that she is one of the most prolific songwriters of our generation. I think she is insanely talented. I’d love to collaborate with Taylor if she ever wanted to, on any given day. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I think she’s a brilliant woman. I think she’s, like I said, one of the great songwriters of our time.”

Draiman counted Swift’s merits, and listed other musicians that are in the same calibre as her, according to him:

“I love her gumption. I love the fact that she gets on stage in front of tens of thousands of screaming young female fans and plays a real instrument and sings live, and is the real deal.

There are a number of people within the pop genre that still do it the way that she does it — Pink is one of them; Lady Gaga is one of them. A lot of these people are just so gifted and so great at what they do, and she’s certainly way, way, way up there. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her.”

In May, during Taylor’s ‘Eras Tour,’ David praised Phoebe Bridger using ‘Down With The Sickness’ while walking on stage for her opening act:

“Phoebe Bridgers, this is absolutely amazing! Love it! You’re welcome to come see our show whenever you want!”

This isn’t the first time David showing his respect and admiration for Taylor. In 2021, when she was appointed as the first Record Store Day Global Ambassador, he tweeted:

“So deserving. Massive respect for Taylor Swift. She’s one of the great songwriters/performers of our era. Saw her in Houston, blew me away.”

Disturbed is also on tour now, and will continue until March 2, 2024. You can check here for the details. Below, you can find Draiman’s tweet.
