Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth recently addressed the band’s upcoming album plans and lineup changes in a statement shared on Metal Roos.
The statement focused on the band’s creative evolution and their approach to recent personnel changes. This includes the firing of two members who have filed against Filth.
“In actual fact we are only about three weeks out from entering the studio to start working on our new album,” Filth said. “We haven’t even finished formally writing it as yet. And next week I’ve got a meeting with the producer here at my house to decide what tracks are going to make it and which tracks are not. So busy little bees as usual.”
The frontman emphasized the band’s commitment to artistic growth and experimentation.
“Well I think we experiment you know we just do things to please ourselves and our fans and I think coming up to 15 albums and god knows how many EPs and extra tracks and live records and reissues and what have you that we would have been stuck in a bit of a rut if we just continued in that, you know, the same vein,” he continued.
Filth addressed the recent lineup changes directly and downplayed their significance.
“And we’re an evolving band and you know there’ve been lineup changes. Big deal, you know, so what?” he said. “The integrity of the band has always been at its core and you know we bastardize ourselves sometimes in order to get the new record like out but at the same time we want to grow.”
“We want to expand. We want to experiment. We don’t want to stray too far from the beat and path, but at the same time, we don’t want to release one album after the other. That’s just in no way, shape, or form a progression. We’re always looking forward,” Filth concluded.
The comments come amid legal proceedings involving former members Marek ‘Ashok’ Šmerda and Zoe Marie Federoff.
Cradle of Filth continues to move forward with their ambitious recording and touring plans despite the ongoing personnel issues.
Metal Injection reported that the band is set to record their fifteenth studio album. There has been no official word from Dani Filth regarding replacements for the departed members. This milestone album represents another chapter in the band’s extensive discography that spans over three decades.
The band has maintained an active touring schedule despite the lineup changes. 95.7 The Hog confirmed that Cradle of Filth is scheduled to perform at Welcome to Rockville 2026. This continues their presence at major festival circuits.
The band has confirmed a May 20 date at Varsity Theater. They will share the stage with Suffocation, Ghost Bath, and Cultus Black, as Live Nation announced. This show represents part of their ongoing commitment to live performances while navigating the current legal and personnel challenges.
The band’s ability to continue recording and touring amid these circumstances reflects Filth’s stated philosophy about the band’s resilience. Their core integrity remains intact regardless of lineup fluctuations.
