Yungblud Calls Out Rockers Ruining the Genre: ‘Rappers Have Been Winning While Rock Musicians Sleep’

Yungblud recently criticized the lack of collaboration in rock music. He addressed the issue in a statement shared on Steve-O’s Wild Ride! Podcast.

“It’s so easy to be selfish in this f*cking career out of out of insecurity, ego, and especially in rock music,” Yungblud said. “No one the problem why rock music’s been asleep for a while is we’re all a lot of rock music musicians are like this.”

He continued to explain how this contrasts with the rap music industry’s collaborative nature.

“No one wants to collaborate. No one wants to go on tours with each other. No one wants to like rappers have been winning for f*cking 10 years because everyone’s featuring each other but in the past two years rock has started to be more as f*cking have it,” he continued. “I just think everyone’s been a bit too muso about it.”
