Wolfgang Van Halen Reacts To Adam Levine’s Claim That There’re No Bands Anymore

Former Van Halen bassist and current founder of MammothWVH, Wolfgang Van Halen shared a post on his official Twitter page reacting to Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine’s statement in which he reveals that there are not many bands anymore, Wolfgang disagreed with Levine’s statement as he just formed a brand new band.

As many of you know, after the disbandment of Van Halen due to the loss of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen on October 6, 2020, Wolfgang Van Halen formed his own solo band named MammothWVH and recorded a brand new album to be released, however, he’s the only member of the band when it comes to recordings.

While he took care of instruments and vocals throughout the recording and his band is a solo act, MammothWVH actually has other band members while performing those songs which are ‘Distance’ and ‘You’re to Blame’ so far naturally.

Recently, Adam Levine made a bold statement during an interview with Stereogum and revealed that there are not bands anymore, at least not as much as they used to. Levine expressed how sad he is because of the fact that despite there are a few bands that are still out there, however, the notion of a band is slowly vanishing.

Here is what Levine said:

“It’s funny, when the first Maroon 5 album came out there were still other bands. I feel like there aren’t any bands anymore, you know? That’s the thing that makes me kind of sad, is that there were just bands. There are no bands anymore, and I feel like they’re a dying breed. And so I kind of, in a weird way, as far as … I mean, there still are plenty of bands, and maybe they’re not in the limelight quite as much, or in the pop limelight, but I wish there could be more of those around.”

After seeing the statement, Wolfgang Van Halen shared a post on his official Twitter page mocking Levine by stating that bands don’t simply exist anymore. A fan seeing Wolfgang’s tweet also replied and stated that playing all of the instruments is not going to help his case.

Here is what Wolfgang said:

“RIP bands. We had a good run, but I guess we don’t exist anymore?”

Here is what the fan said:

“If you keep playing all your own instruments, not gonna help.”

After seeing that fan’s tweet, Wolfgang Van Halen shared another post on his official Twitter page clearing the understanding with sarcasm and revealed that he’s going to play guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard while singing all by himself and definitely not going to perform with actual band members.

Here is what he said:

“Yep, that’s what I do live. Just me. Playing guitar, bass, drums, singing, backing vocals, keyboard. Just me. It’s not like… a band or something.”
