Wayne Lozinak recently commented on his future with Hatebreed, addressing his recovery and performance plans in a statement shared on Instagram.

Following his brain surgery, Lozinak confirmed that he has successfully returned to performing with the band. He shared an update about the band’s schedule and his plans moving forward.

Lozinak has completed his performances for the current year after recovering from his surgery. He expressed his satisfaction with being able to rejoin the band for the final tours of 2025. Hatebreed will continue performing in 2026.

Lozinak’s return to the stage marks a significant milestone in his recovery from a serious health challenge. Consequence reported that the Hatebreed guitarist underwent brain surgery to remove a benign meningioma after experiencing symptoms during a June 14th performance at Download Festival. The diagnosis came after he experienced mild symptoms resembling a stroke while on the band’s European tour in Lille, France.

Vice documented that Lozinak underwent a craniotomy on August 4, 2025. He has been sharing positive recovery updates on social media since the procedure. The successful removal of the benign tumor was a critical step in his path back to performing.

During his absence from touring, the band made adjustments to keep performances on schedule. Loudwire noted that bassist Matt Bachand stepped in for guitar duties while Carl Schwartz of First Blood and Terror covered bass on tour. This allowed Hatebreed to continue their European dates and scheduled U.S. festival appearances through the remainder of 2025.

Lozinak’s recent statement confirms that his recovery has progressed well enough for him to rejoin the band for live performances. His determination to return and the band’s support during his absence demonstrate the resilience of both the musician and the group. With shows completed for 2025, Lozinak and Hatebreed are now looking ahead to an active 2026 touring schedule.
