In the late 1990s, the White Stripes emerged from Detroit’s garage rock revival. The task of editing their sound, which they knitted with blues, fell to just two members, so they made music dominated by specific instruments. As it turns out, Måneskin has been significantly influenced by White Stripes. Victoria De Angelis, who participated in an interview with Guitar World, shared that they have incorporated this dominant instrument element into their music from time to time.

“Oh, absolutely,” she agreed when the interviewer mentioned the White Stripe’s influence on their ‘Make You Feel.’ “We love the White Stripes, of course. Jack White is so f*cking good. He’s one of the best guitarists ever, the way he experiments with sounds and effects.”

She continued, “Actually, I would say Royal Blood – they have that big, thick sound. We like to try to have one melodic instrument carrying the whole thing, sometimes the guitar, and then it’s the bass. It gives more energy to the sound.”

The White Stripes’ influential career only lasted 13 years, and in 2011 they announced on their website that their ‘intense and incredible’ journey had come to an end. According to Jack White, Meg White’s lack of enthusiasm was the reason for this disbandment. However, despite their brief careers, they have managed to create a strong legacy.

As for Måneskin, they are now enjoying their fast-paced careers. A new album from the band will be released in January 2023 under the name ‘RUSH!.’ On their ongoing tour, they have already begun releasing several tracks from their next album. Their most recent single, ‘The Loneliest,’ was released along with a gothic funeral music video.
