Ted Nugent recently shared a Twitter post, saying that he is committed to making sure that people do not forget the KISS bassist Gene Simmons’ comments.
By quoting the bassist’s previous words on COVID-19 vaccines, the rocker wrote:
“Never let them forget what they said…”
The altercation between Nugent and Simmons dates back to November 2021, following the bassist’s public support for the vaccine. Gene had labeled unvaccinated individuals as enemies, blaming them for the ongoing loss of lives. Here is what he said at the time, also quoted by Nugent:
“If you’re willing to walk among us unvaccinated, you are an enemy.”
Following the KISS member’s statements, Ted claimed that falsehoods and misinformation prevalent in New York and Los Angeles had influenced Simmons. The singer also made a comparison, suggesting that when someone accused another of being a child abuser, it was often because the accuser was guilty of such actions themselves. So, he attributed the label of ‘anti-vaxxer’ to the bassist.
Nugent’s words on Simmons’ stance on vaccination didn’t stop there, though. In an appearance on Joe Pags Show, he revealed his intention to reach out to Simmons personally to try to fix him. The rocker said:
“Joe, on an honest, intellectual level, I cannot explain it. I just know that I love Gene Simmons, and I’m going to call him and try to fix him.”
