Staind guitarist Mike Mushok has confirmed that the band has completed recording their new album, which will serve as the follow-up to their 2023 studio album ‘Confessions of the Fallen.’ The announcement was made during an interview with 105.7 the Point.
When asked about the band’s current musical status and potential follow-up to their recent work, Mushok provided details about the recording process and timeline.
“Yeah, it’s done. So everything’s, I have to redo I just have my demo guitars and bass on there,” Mushok said.
The guitarist explained the remaining steps in the production process and anticipated release timeline.
“So that’s we finish this shows, I get home for a week and the week after we’re going in the studio I’m going to finish my guitars base and it’ll be mixed,” he continued. “We probably won’t be out till next year I don’t think.”
The new album represents Staind’s continued musical output following their return to recording with ‘Confessions of the Fallen’ in 2023.
Fans await the new album’s release while Staind remains actively engaged with their audience through extensive touring and community involvement.
Staind’s official tour page revealed that the band has launched a comprehensive 2026 tour with multiple U.S. stops. This demonstrates their commitment to supporting their recent material while maintaining a strong live presence. The tour schedule shows the band balancing studio work with their touring obligations, which explains Mushok’s reference to finishing shows before completing the final recording touches.
The band’s current touring activity includes participation in major festival circuits. Staind’s tour listings reference their appearance at the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival in Columbus, OH, alongside other major rock acts. This indicates that Staind continues to hold a prominent position within the rock festival landscape.
Beyond their musical endeavors, Staind has expanded their impact through charitable initiatives. The band’s tour coverage revealed that Staind and Music for Relief have launched “Echoes for Change.” Proceeds from ticket sales and merchandise are directed toward disaster relief and local charities, showing the band’s commitment to giving back to their communities.
The combination of new recording material, active touring, and charitable work positions Staind as a band that remains deeply connected to both their musical roots and their fanbase. This sets the stage for what could be a significant release when their new album arrives next year.
