Shawn Crahan Says Slipknot’s New ‘God Music’ Will Be Ready Next Month
In an interview by U.S. Radio Station 93X, Slipknot’s Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan talked about the upcoming Slipknot album and stated that the new album is the ‘God music’ and they expect it to be released by the end of July.
As you might know, Slipknot has been working on a new record after their sixth album ‘We Are Not Your Kind’ during the lockdown. As little is known about the upcoming album, fans were waiting for even a little bit of information they get about the news on the new record.
Apart from album making, the revolutionary metal band Slipknot has also been on the lineups for several tours and events. It is known that the band will get onto the stage with Limp Bizkit and Rob Zombie for the Rocklahoma Shows in September 2021 and perform in the Knotfest Roadshow which is going to be held right after Rocklahoma.
In the interview made by the radio station 93X, Crahan stated that they are making progress for their much-appreciated album, and it is almost done. When asked what to expect from their work on progress, he described the album as the ‘God music,’ and as a whole other element. He then added that they still need time to fully complete it, but they are hoping for the release of it by the end of July. With the high expectations set, the fans seem to be waiting for the new album holding their breaths.
In Crahan’s words the album is:
“I believe that this album is… It’s God music, man. It’s the center of the beast for me. This is a whole other element.”
He then added about the release date that:
“We still have a lot of time to complete this. We’re hoping to be done by the end of July.”
