Don Felder gave the first update after a medical episode while performing live at the Rock Legends Cruise.

“And ROCK we did!!” the guitarist wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. “Now that we are back on land with better cell service, I want to thank you all for the support and kind words of encouragement the last few days!”

He added, “After fluids and rest I was able to play 2 more rockin shows to wrap up the Rock Legends Cruise! Everyone- make sure you’re staying hydrated by drinking WATER and electrolytes!! You didn’t think a rock n roller would ever remind you of that, did you?!”

Felder had a health scare during a recent cruise performance and needed medical help. His manager shared details in a statement to Ultimate Classic Rock. He said, “Don experienced a medical episode last night during the show. He received medical attention and was deemed to be suffering from dehydration.”

The musician was performing on the Rock Legends Cruise. During his Thursday night show, he began to feel unsteady while singing ‘Tequila Sunrise’ and stumbled. Medical staff helped him off the stage. His manager said Felder was placed in quarantine to recover but will return to performing soon.

The statement read, “By medical rules of the cruise, he’ll be in quarantine for the next 24 hours to rest. Arrangements are being made for him to play on Saturday and Sunday.”

The Rock Legends Cruise continued until February 17, featuring Alice Cooper, Styx, John Waite, Foghat, and Robin Trower. Felder also has shows in March and April before joining Styx and Kevin Cronin for a nationwide tour.
