Rod Stewart has announced the cancellation of his upcoming July concert dates due to ongoing health issues. He shared the news with fans through a statement posted on Instagram.

The legendary singer addressed his fans directly about the necessary cancellations and rescheduling of his performances.

“I have to cancel and reschedule my next six concerts in July as I continue to recover from the flu,” Stewart said. “So sorry my friends. I’m devastated and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience to my fans. I’ll be back on stage and will see you soon.”

This latest health setback adds to a series of challenges the veteran performer has faced throughout his career. It highlights both his resilience and ongoing commitment to his fans.

Remind Magazine reported that Stewart has previously battled serious health conditions including thyroid and prostate cancer. These past health struggles demonstrate the singer’s determination to continue performing despite medical challenges that could have ended many careers.

The current tour cancellations affect several scheduled performances that were set to take place over the coming weeks, including shows in Nevada and California. Sky News revealed that this decision was made after the singer was advised by his doctor to take more rest to fully recover from the flu.

Stewart’s career continues to receive recognition despite these setbacks. Sky News noted that he recently received a lifetime achievement award at the American Music Awards in May, acknowledging his decades-long contribution to music.

The 79-year-old singer remains scheduled to perform at Glastonbury later this month, a significant event in his ongoing One Last Time Tour. This upcoming performance will be closely watched by fans and industry observers as Stewart continues to balance his health needs with his passion for live performance.
