Riley Keough Will Be The Sole Trustee Of Her Mother Lisa Marie Presley’s Estate

After a legal battle over Lisa Marie Presley’s fortune, it looks like everything is settling down. The latest news from People revealed that Riley Keough’s going to be the only one calling the shots when it comes to her mother’s estate.

Just last month, Riley and her grandmother, Priscilla Presley, agreed to sort things out once she got full control of her mother’s fortune, including Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion and a stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises. New documents show that the actress is asking the court to approve the settlement, which TMZ says is worth millions.

If all goes well, Riley will have the sole control, and according to her lawyer, Justin Gold, won’t ask for any money for her role as a trustee, letting ‘the beneficiaries [to] all save money that would have gone to Priscilla, who was going to charge a trustee fee.’

Gold additionally said:

“In settling the claims pending in Priscilla’s Petition, the parties are saving significant legal fees by avoiding litigation, and they are likewise avoiding the spectacle of intra-family litigation that would have been inimical to Lisa’s wishes and not in the best interests of the family.”

As for what she plans to do with the money, Riley wants to use it ‘in a manner consistent with the needs of the beneficiaries, and not influenced by the desire of a Trustee.’ Lisa Marie’s half-brother, Navarone Garibaldi, is set to get 1/9 of it, and the rest will be shared among Riley, her twin sisters Harper and Finley Lockwood, and the money Priscilla will get from their agreement.

Gold said that Riley was ‘very content‘ with the way things turned out, while her grandmother’s lawyer, Ronsen Shamoon, told CNN:

“They have reached a settlement. Families are happy. Everyone is happy, unified together, and excited for the future.”

This news came after Priscilla Presley took this to court in January, questioning whether a 2016 change to the trust was real and fair. Now, all eyes are on the next court date scheduled for August 4, where the deal will be approved for sure.
