Ozzy Osbourne Says He Doesn’t Regret Doing The Osbournes

During a recent interview with Classic Rock, Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne said he has not regretted doing the reality show ‘The Osbournes.’

As a very influential musician in the rock scene, Ozzy Osbourne made a reality show named ‘The Osbournes‘ in 2002. The show featured the Osbourne family, including Ozzy’s wife Sharon and kids Jack and Kelly. The first season of the show became the most viewed series on MTV.

After four successful seasons, the fifth and final one aired on March 21, 2005. Although the show gained success for the family, there were also negative consequences. Osbourne mentioned in a past conversation that the family was not feeling comfortable spending time in their home while they were being filmed constantly.

In a recent interview, when the interviewer asked whether he would have made the reality show if he had a chance to go back in the past, Osbourne expressed his uncertainty. However, he admitted not regretting ‘The Osbournes.’ Still, the Prince of Darkness remembered being unaware of the project’s circumstances he agreed to involve his family.

Osbourne revealed that Sharon asked him whether he wanted to continue the show in the past, and all family members rejected. The rocker stated that their children were using drugs and alcohol while he was into binge drinking again. Osbourne added that it was weird to have cameras at home, and things got out of hand.

Ozzy Osbourne responded when the interviewer asked if he would do ‘The Osbournes’ if he could go back:

“I don’t know. I don’t regret it. But then again, I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into. It was real; it wasn’t scripted in any way, shape, or form. And by the time year three came along, Sharon sat us all down and said: ‘What do you want to do? Do you want to carry on?’ And everybody just said no. The kids were doing drugs and alcohol, and I’d gone back out on the booze. When you’ve got a camera crew living in your house twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, it gets a bit crazy.”

Although the family got a reputation with ‘The Osbournes,’ they faced negative consequences of being constantly filmed by a camera. As Ozzy Osbourne revealed, they began not to feel comfortable in their own home. However, Osbourne does not regret creating this reality show despite all negativities.
