Rock band Rush announced a last-minute postponement of their June 24 show in Fort Worth, Texas, citing travel complications in a statement shared on their Instagram.

The band explained that delays stemming from their recent Mexico City tour dates impacted their touring production, forcing them to reschedule the Dickies Arena performance to July 2.

“Due to unforeseen travel and border-related delays impacting our touring production following our recent Mexico City tour dates, tonight’s show in Fort Worth at Dickies Arena has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 2,” Rush said.

The band also addressed ticketing arrangements and offered reassurance to fans holding tickets for the original date.

“All fans holding a ticket for tonight’s June 24 show will be able to use that same ticket for the rescheduled performance on July 2 at Dickies Arena,” they continued. “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding given this circumstance out of our control.”

For those unable to attend the new date, the band outlined refund options through their ticketing partners.

“Fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled date may request a refund through Ticketmaster if tickets were purchased there,” Rush added. “For tickets purchased through other outlets, please contact your original point of purchase for assistance.”

The band closed by confirming the remainder of their tour remains on track. “The Fifty Something tour will resume as scheduled for the remaining dates, and we look forward to seeing everyone starting this Friday!”

The Fort Worth postponement marks a rare disruption to what has otherwise been a smoothly running tour. The band had successfully completed a string of high-profile international dates just days before the incident.

Rush performed at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on June 20 as part of the Fifty Something Tour’s international leg. The Mexico City shows drew significant attention, with fan-captured footage of performances — including “The Spirit of Radio” and “La Villa Strangiato” — circulating widely online in the days that followed.

The Fifty Something Tour takes its name as a nod to the band’s more than five decades in rock. It launched earlier in 2026 and has been one of the most anticipated rock tours of the year. The tour’s opening night featured a performance of “Xanadu,” generating considerable buzz among the fanbase and setting the tone for what has been a landmark run of shows.

The border-related complications that led to the Fort Worth delay appear to have arisen directly from the logistical challenges of moving a large-scale touring production across international borders following the Mexico City dates. Transporting equipment and crew between countries on a tight touring schedule is a well-known challenge for major acts. Even minor customs or border processing delays can have cascading effects on subsequent show dates.

Despite the disruption, Rush has made clear that the incident is an isolated one. The remainder of the Fifty Something Tour’s North American dates are confirmed to proceed as planned. The band’s swift communication and transparent ticketing policy reflect a professional handling of an unavoidable situation. Fort Worth fans now have a new date to look forward to on July 2 at Dickies Arena.
