In the most recent episode of Ozzy Speaks on SiriusXM, Ozzy Osbourne provided an update on his health. This is the first time he has spoken publicly about his medical issues since canceling his appearance as a headliner for the Power Trip festival.
When asked about his current health status, Ozzy shared the following:
“I’m battling through it. For instance, last Monday, I went to have a filter removed. ‘Cause I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is. So, on Monday, I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. So, they put a thing down there in my neck, straight down to my groin.”
He stated his disappointment and added:
“It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just get this thing fucking done so I can go get on with my life.”
The rocker had to cancel and reschedule multiple concerts, including the Power Trip Festival, due to health concerns. The ‘No More Tours 2 Tour’ was also canceled, and his performances in the UK and Ireland were postponed several times. These changes were made for various reasons, including Ozzy’s flu and pneumonia in early 2019, a severe fall in his bedroom, the coronavirus pandemic in October 2020, and ‘ongoing uncertainty surrounding full-capacity events and travel logistics’ in November 2021.
It has been later announced that Judas Priest will be taking Ozzy’s place in the Power Trip festival. The festival is scheduled to be held from October 6th to 8th at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
