After Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain’s retirement a short time ago, the band’s guitarist Dave Murray recently scaed his fans with the band’s new video.

Iron Maiden posted a video on social media about the end of their ‘The Future Past World Tour.’ In the video, Murray speaks about his own experience and how the shows have been for him. “2024 has been an amazing year for Maiden, for playing music and for touring. We’re finishing in about three or four days and then we’re gonna go home to take a holiday and we’re ready for an amazing 2025 which is gonna be completely different and spectacular. Thank you, God bless,” he explained.

However, fans were scared that it was another retirement announcement. One user commented, “For a horrible moment I thought this was going to be Dave announcing his retirement! Thank goodness I was wrong!!!”

Another wrote, “I had horrible PTSD for a moment before it played, thinking Davey was making an ‘announcement,’ too. I needed the defibrillator! Oh, thank goodness!” One user added, “What a scare! Damn you I love you Iron Maiden.”

The drummer announced his retirement in a statement, saying he made his decision after much consideration but would still remain a part of the Iron Maiden family. The rocker thanked his fans, family, friends, and fans.

A short time after McBrain’s retirement, Bruce Dickinson announced solo shows. The singer’s first show is to take place on September 7 at The Town festival in São Paulo, Brazil. Dickinson played his first solo show in 22 years in April this year. The last-minute ‘secret’ gigs were held on April 12 and April 13th as a warm-up for his tour in support of his recent album, ‘The Mandrake Project.’

Iron Maiden’s The Future Past World Tour 2024 ended with their concert on December 7 at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil.
