Nita Strauss Says There’s No Closing Of The Door With Alice Cooper

In a new interview with Variety, Nita Strauss commented on her relationship with Alice Cooper and described her separation from his projects as temporary.

Nita Strauss is one of the influential female guitarists of the 21st century and has been rocking the stage with Alice Cooper since 2014. Last July, Strauss revealed on social media that she would leave Cooper’s band to focus on other projects and it was later revealed that she had joined Demi Lovato’s live band.

Strauss has stated many times before that she does not have any problems with the rocker, that Cooper supports her decision, and that there were no conflicts or hard feelings between them. Although there is no problem between the two, this departure made her fans very unhappy, and she said that this unexpected reaction from her fans tired her out.

In her recent talk with Variety, the famous guitarist again made statements about Alice Cooper. Nita Strauss explained that she learned a lot about timing on guitar while playing with Alice. Stating that she knows her own music can be a bit chaotic, Strauss explained that it is still part of her personality. She added that she had eight wonderful years with Cooper, and she wishes their relationship will not end.

She revealed that she knew from her conversations with Alice Cooper that the door was always open:

“He’s the best. It’s been an amazing eight years together, and probably, hopefully not the end of my relationship with Alice. There’s no closing of the door with Alice from all of our conversations. The main thing that I’ve taken away from Alice is the art of letting their songs breathe. My own music can be chaotic. That’s part of my personality. Over the years of working with Alice, and writers who know more about crafting a song’s dynamics than I do, I learned the art of knowing when to step forward and when to step back.”

On September 22, 2022, Nita Strauss will embark on a North American tour with Demi Lovato’s all-female band in promotion of the singer’s eighth studio album, ‘Holy Fvck.’ The guitarist is not only working with Demi Lovato but also pursuing solo projects, too. She released her latest music video for her solo track, ‘Summer Storm,’ on August 29, 2022.
