Morrissey Shares A Conspiracy Theory About His New Album

3 Min Read

It is usual to see conspiracy theories surrounding the world of rock and roll. Some talk about songs and albums, while others speculate about the musicians’ lives. The conspiracy theory in Morrissey’s statement on his official site, on the other hand, is about someone who prevents the release of his latest album.

For the past year, Morrissey’s new album, ‘Bonfire of Teenagers,’ which he claimed to be ‘the best album of his life,’ faced many obstacles on the way. First, its release date was declared to be postponed to an uncertain time, upsetting both the fans and Morrissey himself. Then, following this declaration, Morrissey parted ways with Capitol Records, with which he was working on the album. When, right after these developments, Miley Cyrus asked to be removed from the album, people started questioning why the situation got so complicated.

After all of this, Morrissey revealed on his official website that Capitol Records (Los Angeles) has no plans to release the album or relinquish its rights to it. He explained that, with all the troubles caused by the record company, he started to believe they had withheld the album to sabotage it.

Morrissey’s explanation reads:

“Morrissey is ‘too diverse’ for Universal Music Group. After all, Capitol Records (Los Angeles) will not release Morrissey’s 2021 album ‘Bonfire of Teenagers.’ At the same time, Capitol Records (Los Angeles) are holding onto the album.

Although Morrissey officially signed with Capitol Records Los Angeles, there has been no mention of Morrissey on Capitol’s website or on their Artists roster.

Morrissey has said that although he does not believe that Capitol Records in Los Angeles signed ‘Bonfire of Teenagers’ in order to sabotage it, he is quickly coming around to that belief.”

So, after all the trouble and struggles, the fate of Morrissey’s new album, ‘Bonfire of Teenagers,’ is still unclear. In addition to that, Morrissey indicates that, even though he does not want to be one of the conspiracy theory believers, he can’t help thinking that the troubles caused by Capitol Records (Los Angeles) are on purpose.
