These last few years, maybe, haven’t been the best for Morrissey. Now, he has announced from his official website that he has parted ways both with Capital Records and his management… and to top all of that, Miley Cyrus also wanted to be removed from their collaboration in his yet-to-be-released record.
If you’re wondering what’s been going on with the singer, he faced an international backlash when he walked off the stage during a show in L.A.’s Greek Theatre with no explanation to his audience. Since then, some have theorized that the rocker walked out only because it was too cold, but as many stated, it was only mildly cold.
So, after these criticisms, the former Smiths frontman had been lying low. Still, it’s evident that things haven’t been going right with his label company, which holds all the rights to Morrissey’s upcoming record, ‘Bonfire of Teenagers,’ and management. He took to his website to announce that he no longer works with the label and management, but his troubles didn’t end there.
Soon after announcing his departure, the musician shared another message under the title of ‘Miley is a Punk Rocker’ and stated that Cyrus now wanted to be removed from their collaboration, ‘I Am Veronica,’ which she volunteered to take part to provide backing vocals.
“Miley Cyrus now wants to be taken off the song ‘I Am Veronica’ for which she volunteered backing vocals almost two years ago,” said the official statement, featuring a picture of Morrissey and Miley hanging out in the studio. “This comes at a time when Morrissey has disassociated himself with Capitol Records (Los Angeles), who control the hidden album ‘Bonfire of Teenagers’. Above, Morrissey and Miley during Miley’s session for ‘I Am Veronica.’”
So, after the news of Morrissey’s cutting ties with both Capital Records, which would release ‘Bonfires of Teenagers,’ and management, Miley also wanted to be taken off the record for some reason. However, perhaps, this is a way for Cyrus to support Morrissey, as the album is now under the control of the label. So, during Christmas and times of getting together, Morrissey decided to go on his way, which may be how Miley supported him.
