The singer sang for a small group of family and friends at the hotel during Christmas. Among various original songs, she sang ‘Faithfully’ accompanied only by a piano and stayed close to the original version.

While performing, Cyrus added a touch of humor by poking fun at Dave Grohl. Before starting the second verse, she joked:

“Dave Grohl is coming out of the Christmas tree for the drums.”

The Singer Sang Rock/Metal Covers Before

Cyrus has a history of delving into rock and metal covers. She previously teamed up with Def Leppard for a rendition of ‘Photograph’ at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert in Los Angeles. Dave Grohl joined them on stage at the Kia Forum.

The pop singer also fronted Metallica during a performance of ‘Nothing Else Matters’ on the Howard Stern Show. Her studio-recorded version of the 1991 classic was released as the first track from 2021’s tribute album, ‘The Metallica Blacklist.’
