Staind guitarist Mike Mushok recently addressed speculation about the band’s future touring plans. He clarified their current stance on potential hiatuses in an interview with Audio Ink Radio.

The guitarist’s comments came in response to questions about whether the band is considering another extended break from touring and recording.

Mushok provided reassurance to fans about the band’s continued activity when asked whether Staind have any plans for another long hiatus.

“Nothing planned like that right now, unless you know something I don’t know,” Mushok said.

The guitarist also emphasized the band’s commitment to supporting new material with live performances.

“I think especially if we can get some new music out, there you always have to go out there and support that, so that’s always a good way to be able to get out there and play some shows,” he continued.

Mushok’s reassurances come at a time when the band has been actively rebuilding momentum after years of reduced activity.

Wikipedia reports that Staind was formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The band currently features lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, Mushok on lead guitar, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. The band has achieved significant commercial success throughout their career. Day After Day Music noted that they have sold over 15 million albums worldwide across eight studio albums.

The band’s recent activity includes their 2023 comeback album Confessions of the Fallen. This release marked a significant return to form. Loudwire reported that this album debuted at number 1 on Billboard’s Rock Album chart. This demonstrates that fan interest in new Staind material remains strong.

Supporting Mushok’s comments about touring to promote new music, Loudwire confirmed that Staind has announced a co-headlining 2025 U.S. tour titled the Awaken the Fallen Tour with Breaking Benjamin. The tour features special guests Wage War and Lakeview. It runs from April 26 to June 1 across 20 cities, directly supporting their recent album release.

The comments suggest Staind remains focused on both creating new music and maintaining an active touring schedule. This indicates the band’s commitment to sustained activity rather than extended breaks.
