Since leaving Mötley Crüe, we could arguably call Mick Mars the most popular name in the rock world. Almost every week, we’re penning a drama related to him on this site. We were sure his solo album would make a big splash, but no one expected such a start.
Today, according to a chart released by Mick himself, The Other Side of Mars album has entered the iTunes Charts at number one. In second place is another familiar name: Ace Frehley.
Mick expressed his feelings in a message posted on Instagram:
“Woke up to finding myself at the top of the iTunes Charts and thought I must still be dreaming. I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much for your support. And thanks to iTunes and Spotify for the feature as well!”
This is certainly a significant event for rock music. At the top of the global list are two rock stars, followed by major pop and rap giants like Kanye West and Twice.
Another detail that caught my eye is that Tommy Lee is among those who liked Mick Mars’ Instagram post. Could this be a sign of thawing relations?

The Road Ahead for Mick Mars

One of the most curious questions after parting ways with Mötley Crüe is what Mick will do next. We know that due to health issues, he won’t be engaging in physical activities. Therefore, he will continue to focus on music, making significant contributions in the studio.
In a recent news release, he mentioned that if Mötley Crüe wants, he could rejoin them for album recordings.
Additionally, the guitarist, expressing his desire to write his own autobiography, added that he would definitely do so when he feels he is on his deathbed.
