Mick Mars has been busy with his solo album, ‘The Other Side Of Mars,’ as well as his legal battle with former Mötley Crüe bandmates. Recently, My Global Mind asked Mars if he had another project in mind, such as an autobiography. The guitarist admitted that writing an autobiography was something he would do when he was dying. Mick stated:

“I probably will, but probably — I’ve been saying this for the longest time — when I’m dying, so I can write it backward. [Laughs] Is that silly? … It’s cool. I like it. So if you wanna read it forward, you start at the back. I don’t know.”

The former Mötley Crüe guitarist has been struggling with ankylosing spondylitis since he was 27 years old. Last year, Mars decided to quit touring with Crüe due to his health condition which led to a vicious legal battle with his former bandmates.

Will Mick Mars Be Able To Perform Live Again?

While Mars seems to be doing great with his new album’s recordings, there is still a question about his live performances waiting to be answered. Earlier in 2023, during an interview with Out Of The Box on Q104.3, the guitarist addressed his fans’ concerns about whether they would see him perform live ever again. Mars explained his plans for live performances:

“I would say if there was one-offs or a residency for a couple of nights or whatever, I could do that. But it’s the flying around. And then you get, like, let’s say Japan. And it’s like a 12-hour flight or something. And it’s just, like… I mean, getting older with this crap. I’m not 30 anymore; I’m 72 years old.”
