Maynard James Keenan Explains How They Decided To Do Puscifer’s Second Concert Film

Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan opened up about how the band decided to work on another live streaming concert, ‘Billy D And The Hall Of Feathered Serpents featuring Money $hot By Puscifer’ along with a film version during an interview with Loudwire and apparently, filming is always more comfortable than preparing for the actual tour.

As many of you might remember, Puscifer’s first live streaming event, ‘Existential Reckoning: Live At Arcosanti,’ which was aired on October 30, 2020, from the Arizona desert, was a great milestone in the band’s career since it was a record-breaking live concert and fans loved seeing such a perfect show including an album release.

While fans have been dying to watch another show of the band, Maynard James Keenan announced another live event recently via an Instagram post from the Puscifer’s official Instagram account, announcing that there is going to be a prequel show to ‘Existential Reckoning: Live At Arcosanti,’ on April 17, 2021, named ‘Billy D And The Hall Of Feathered Serpents featuring Money $hot By Puscifer.

During a recent interview, Puscifer frontman opened up about the band’s decision to create another live-streaming concert, and apparently, Maynard James Keenan thinks filming gives more flexibility when it comes to performing. Keenan also stated that the band was able to be freer since it takes out the fear factor in the process.

Here is what Keenan said:

“Of course, filming gives you a lot more flexibility. It’s always been so much of a focus on preparing for the tour… we never really got a chance to explore this thing as far as we could, as far as filming. You get distracted by other things. I think this has been the perfect opportunity to pop that cherry, in a way, and be able to not be afraid of that process.”
