Marilyn Manson abruptly stopped his set at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in California to deliver what he called a confession about his past drug addiction, as captured in a fan’s video of Marilyn Manson’s show.

The unexpected confession came during his performance. Manson opened up about his relationship with drugs in a candid and metaphorical way.

“I have a confession to make… I did in fact like the drugs. One day, I had to teach drugs a lesson. I said, ‘Hey, drugs, you want to go for a romantic ride into the desert with me?'” Manson said during the show.

He continued with his metaphorical narrative about overcoming his addiction.

“And I looked at the drugs, and they looked at me, and they said, ‘I’m going to love you forever.’ And I looked at them and shoved them into the f*cking hole and buried them and I came home alone,” he continued.

Manson concluded his confession with a direct admission.

“I’m a drug addict,” he stated.

The moment was captured by fans in attendance and has since been shared online. It showed the artist’s vulnerable moment during what was otherwise a typical concert performance.

This candid revelation came during a significant moment in Manson’s career as he continues his spring tour with notable changes to his performance setup.

The confession took place on April 23, 2026, at the Yaamava’ Theater. It marked the spring tour kickoff where Revolver Magazine reported that Manson debuted a new band lineup. The show represented a fresh chapter for the controversial artist as he continues to tour with his revamped musical ensemble.

Setlist.fm documented that the evening’s performance included classic tracks such as “Disposable Teens,” “Angel With the Scabbed Wings,” and “The Beautiful People.” These songs provided the backdrop for this unexpected personal revelation. The setlist also featured “Great Big White World” and “Dried Up, Tied and Dead to the World,” songs that have been staples of Manson’s live performances for years.

The venue, Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California, has become a notable stop for major touring acts. VividSeats had promoted the concert as part of Manson’s ongoing tour schedule. Few could have anticipated the personal nature of the evening’s most memorable moment.

The tour continues with additional dates, including upcoming performances in Las Vegas, Nevada. Manson is scheduled to appear at the Sick New World festival. This confession adds another layer to Manson’s complex public persona as he navigates both his artistic career and personal struggles in the public eye.
